Park Conditions

Published Saturday, January 25, 2020 9:00 am

ATTENTION: We have noticed a few holes open up during this warm spell. It is impossible for us to inspect the entire lake so use caution when venturing off cleared surfaces. During periods of heavy snow or temperature swings, lake pressure cracks may open up which release water to the surface. These cracks will flood low areas on the lake until the water levels out. Until then the water will not freeze over even in cold weather. Please stay away from any wet areas.

PLEASURE RINK - OPEN - In Great Condition. Conditions will deteriorate during warm weather.

EAST HOCKEY RINK - CLOSED - Pressure cracks and holes are flooding the surface with water. We are currently investigating safety concerns. For your safety STAY AWAY from this area.

WEST HOCKEY RINK - CLOSED - Pressure cracks and holes are flooding the surface with water. We are currently investigating safety concerns. AlsoA large hole opened up on the east side of the rink last week that still needs time to freeze. For your safety STAY AWAY from these areas.

*Please note that all rink lights go out at 8:45pm

SKATING LOOPS - OPEN - We are now grooming with the Zamboni and mostly in good shape. We are unable to operate the Zamboni in warm weather.

TOBOGGANING - OPEN - Hard and fast.

ICE FISHING - OPEN - Please be respectful of homes and stay a reasonable distance away. DO NOT drill holes on any skating surfaces.
